Warcon (warcon.app) is a free, open-source RCON panel for WARDOGS, hosted at console.warcon.app or self-hosted. Step by step
- Open Warcon: hosted at console.warcon.app or your own instance. Your WARDOGS server must already be set up there. warcon.app
- On the organisation page under «API keys», create a new key and give it only the «View» capability.
- Only if seeders should get queue priority: also allow «Reserved slots». Queue priority
- On seedmyserver choose «Add server», pick the method «Warcon panel (API key)» and paste the panel address (e.g. https://console.warcon.app) and the key. If the key sees several servers, also enter the Warcon server ID.
- Click «Add and verify». If the check succeeds, the server is verified.
Why Warcon instead of an RCON password
An RCON password allows everything on the server. A Warcon key with «View» only allows reading the player list, which is all seedmyserver needs for verified seeds. The key is stored encrypted, never shown again, and you can revoke it in Warcon any time.

FAQ
Does seedmyserver see my RCON password with Warcon?
No. The RCON password stays in Warcon. seedmyserver only gets an API key that can read the live player list.
Which capabilities does the API key need?
Only «View» for verified seeds and points. Add «Reserved slots» only if seeders should get automatic queue priority; with it we manage nothing but our own entries on the reserved list.
Do I have to self-host Warcon?
No. Use the hosted version at console.warcon.app or run Warcon yourself. Both work the same way.
What happens if I revoke the key?
seedmyserver can no longer read the player list, so the server is no longer verified until you add a new key. Points seeders already earned stay.
