Get your WARDOGS server to 20 players with a seed call shortly before your busy hours: register it on seedmyserver, connect it through Warcon and start a call. Real players from other communities join, your members seed along, and the round starts. Reward seeders with queue priority and seed others back to stay high in the list.
How to get players on an empty WARDOGS server
Last updated:
Six steps to a full server
- Add the server on seedmyserver and connect it through Warcon. Verified calls are listed first and go out on Discord and via push.
- Pick the right time: the heatmap on your server's statistics page shows the busiest hours. Start the call just before them.
- Bring your own people: members of your community earn 50 % of the points during a call. Starting together gets the server moving faster.
- Reward seeders: switch on queue priority so helpers skip the queue on busy evenings. Guide
- Seed back: communities that seed other servers get their own calls listed further up.
- Promote: for 100 support credits your server is listed at the top for 24 hours. The 100 starter credits pay for the first promotion.
What does not last
Bots or fake clients only fake a population and drive real players away once they notice. Paid seeders only come as long as money flows. Mutual seeding with real players instead builds a community that comes back.
FAQ
Why do players avoid empty servers?
In the server browser most players pick a server where people are already playing. An empty WARDOGS server also does not start a round until the minimum is reached. So a server at 0 often stays at 0.
When should I start a seed call?
Just before your community usually comes online. The heatmap on your server's statistics page shows when it is busiest.
Does it cost anything?
No money. A seed call you start by hand costs 10 support credits (refunded if nobody earns points), the Spotlight 75 credits; you earn the credits by seeding other communities' servers.
Do my own members need a call too?
Yes. Members of your own community only earn points on your server during a seed call, and at 50 %. Start a call before you seed together.
Next step: add your server
Sign in with Steam, create a community, connect the server through Warcon. Then start your first seed call.
